Lang Lang coming to a cinema near you

Lang Lang is to continue his close relationship with the music of Liszt with live broadcasts in cinemas across Europe and Asia.

On October 23 the star pianist will perform a programme of Liszt’s music including the First Piano Concerto with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Charles Dutoit in celebration of the composer’s 200th birthday.

The performance will be shown live and as-live (due to time differences) in 150 cinemas in Europe and Asia by XDC Entertainment, and will also include footage from Lang Lang’s appearance at the summer’s iTunes festival in London, behind the scenes interviews and commentary.

In the UK, showings will takes place in Nottingham, Uckfield, Bluewater, Derby, Leicester, Peterborough and Reading. For details see www.xdcentertainment.com
